People have been living in this area for thousands of years, Shoshone and Bannock tribes called this place home. In 1905 is was incorporated as a village, and in 1907 it became the seat of the newly formed Twin Falls County. There is a current population of about 54,000 people, and it is the 8th largest city in Idaho. There is a strong school system, 3 high schools, 4 middle schools, and 9 elementary schools. Twin Falls lies just south of the Snake River Canyon, which is only the beginning of beautiful scenery and outdoor activities that Twin Falls has to offer. Kayaking the Snake River, fishing, golfing, exploring the countless trails, or if you’re daring, base jumping off of the iconic Perinne Bridge. The bridge is named after the main founder of Twin Falls, I.B. Perinne. It is one of the few man-made structures where base jumping is allowed year-round without a permit.

Twin Falls is also the home to the Evel Knievel jump site, where Robert ‘Evel’ Knievel, an explorer, daredevil, and motorcyclist, attempted the mile long leap of the Snake River Canyon on his specially engineered rocket motorcycle.
