Kimberly Idaho is that small town that country singers write about. Packed bleachers at the high-school games, caring community, picture-perfect sunsets, and country roads.

Kimberly is a quiet town that is located in Twin Falls County. With a population of about 4,000 people, it gives you those small-town feels while being 10 minutes away from the city. Kimberly was founded in 1905, and named after Peter L. Kimberly, a major investor in the construction of Milner Damn.

Not only is this town full of charm but it has a strong school system. The high school has received recognition from the J.A. and Katheryn Albertson Foundation as a “Go On School” which means that they are preparing and motivating their students to take advanced placement and dual credit courses. Many students graduate from Kimberly High School with multiple college credits completed.

Kimberly also has many local businesses that are thriving. Delicious food spots and boutiques are thriving in this beautiful town! Enjoy golfing? Pleasant Valley Golf Course is a fun and challenging course, with 9 holes, and with a magnificent view of the South Hills. Less than an hour south of Kimberly, you’ll find yourself in the beautiful South Hills, where the amenities are endless. Picnics, camping, fishing, hunting, ATV riding, snowmobiling, and so much more are favorites that visitors and residents enjoy. Kimberly loves hosting local events as well. Every summer Good Neighbor Day is celebrated for a weekend. Parade, car show, games, and vendors bring the community together. Not to mention how the event got its name, the Good Neighbor of the year is announced at the center of the festivities.

Another popular spot is just 10 minutes north and you’ll find yourself in the beautiful Snake River Canyon. There is road access that allows you to drive down into the canyon and view the majestic water falls that inspired the name Twin Falls. They’re two impressive falls plunging into the gorges of the Snake River at over 125 feet. Not only do you get to enjoy the scenery but the Twin Falls park has picnic tables for bbq’s, a boat launch, and an area to swim. The area fills up all summer long, kayaking, boating, jet skiing, and swimming are popular activities that the residents enjoy. Kimberly is surrounded by many attractions, whether it’s skiing, hiking, water activities, golfing, or just grabbing a delicious bite to eat, you can’t go wrong visiting or relocating to this peaceful town.
